Captain Wolf

Captain Wolf
of the Imperial Soulfire

Written by Sara Wagner

Among the inhabitants of the vast Galactic Empire, there are rumors of a mighty battleship patrolling the outer territories along the Lost Expanse.

It is said that the ship is the people's first line of defense, in the event of a surprise attack by a race of mysterious aliens lurking in the Lost Expanse. Little is known about these aliens; only that they possess strong magic, advanced technology, and are capable of committing unimaginable atrocities using those powers. There is great fear that they will overthrow the Empire, for it is said that they are an enemy that could not be beat.

However there is one creature in the galaxy who defies all fear of them... Captain Wolf of the Imperial Soulfire.

Captain Wolf

She battles them everyday, using a different power to guide her... truth, and love.

She knows the enemy well, for once upon a time, she was one of them, bred and groomed to unleash terror on the Empire. The dark ones had crossed the strongest of their own race with other races until they came up with the perfect creation for infiltrating the Empire's defenses... a lethal alien in the form of a beautiful woman.

Captain Wolf

But the creature they bred was not only deadly; she also had a conscious. Their plans for her were thwarted when she rejected their evil ways, and left them. On bent knee, she pledged her whole-hearted allegiance to the Emperor.

Captain Wolf

Now she fights against everything she was raised to believe, and even ones she loves.

Her struggle to protect the Empire takes its toll, but she has a steely resolve to do what is right.

The Doll

Captain Wolf

Captain Wolf was formerly a "Princess of Korea" Barbie doll, from Mattel's Princesses of the World collection. She had received a full repaint using quality acrylic paints and varnishes.

Her face showed both physical and emotional wounds, in the form of a tear and a scratch. But lethal fierceness remained in her eyes, revealing her strength and potential as a warrior.

The paint in her light blue irises had been streaked with silver to give them a beastly reflection. The irises were then finished by capping them with layers of gloss varnish to create a "lense", which rendered them with a glass eye (or life-like) quality. She had absolutely no painted reflections in her eyes; it all came from the gloss.

Eye

The makeup around her eyes had been done in warm browns, to bring out the blue. This complimented perfectly with her pale glossy lips.

On her forehead was a brilliant jewel. It had been a special gift bestowed upon her by the Emperor himself, to help her see the what the enemy was up to... and even things going on in the supernatural world.

Her jet black hair was razor cut to look natural, and then was put up into a disheveled bun. The hairstyle followed the "no hair may touch the collar" rule, adhered to by woman in most military institutions.

The Uniform

Captain Wolf's tidy uniform was crafted from a light weight black material, and was fully lined on the inside with white. Beneath it she wore a shiny silver under-top.

Back of uniform Front of uniform

The shoulder of the uniform bore the crest of the Empire on it.

Imperial Seal

Around her waist, she wore a fancy belt. The ornate buckle showed her rank as ship captain. It also added a good old fashioned touch of "space cowgirl" to the ensemble, as often seen on characters in some old sci-fi films.

Belt

Like all costumes by Brutal Sun Studio, Captain Wolf's was fully removable.
